Here at Dakabin we have a wide range of students from varying cultures, religions, and also we support students with varying disabilities through our diverse learning centre. These beautiful variances are a gift to our students as it creates a school climate of mutual respect and support for each other.

We work hard with students through our social skilling program to ensure there is an understanding of the differences in people and how we work together in teams. We believe this is a skill that stands our students well for the future.

We encourage new families to our school to share this understanding philosophy. We operate as a positive behaviour for learning school. Band 2a. Welcome to Dakabin State High School. We are a co-educational school of approximately students. The school was established in and is located on the northern side of Brisbane approximately 30 kilometres from the CBD. Our school offers a variety of learning opportunities to ensure that all students can excel.

We have a strong academic and artistic focus, as well as an excellent reputation in our extra-curricular and sporting activities. In fact, our spacious land and Agricultural Farm are unique features of our school. We have a wonderful community which supports our students far beyond the classroom to ensure they can contribute to society in a positive way.

The future lies within! Band 2b. Band 3. LOTE — an extension program sees students travel to Japan approximately every second year to be immersed in the culture through home stays with host families and by visiting sites of Japanese cultural significants.

Dakabin also hosts students from Japan each year.
