Where is cluster storage compressor

So in fact, my cluster is working perfectly. I just didn't know it, because I wasn't watching closely enough to see it mount, process and then unmount the cluster storage on the compute nodes.

Josh B. Jeff is your cluster therefore still actually running slower than on the single machine because of the networking? Not quite. Newer Topic Older Topic. Print View RSS. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.

After a few seconds, each node gives me a timeout error:. Is this a bandwidth issue? Clearly the networked nodes are having trouble connecting to the share for some reason.

Does anybody have any ideas? I have tried almost everything to get this to work. You might want to check Show Qmaster service status in menu bar 2. Choose the client you want as controller, and open the Qmaster Preferences in System Preferences, and change its settings to the following: Setup: Share this computer as: Services and cluster controller Advanced: Set the Cluster Storage to a folder on your Xsan volume 3.

It will change to Reset Services. I hope the OP can get Qmaster moving. Aside from the difficulty most of us have installing and activating Qmaster, do you, perhaps, have any suggestions to help debug some of Qmaster's issues: 1. Uner "Quickcluster" it says that it is a G5 Cluster. Both computers can access it. Nov 14, PM in response to dnucks In response to dnucks Identify this QuickCluster as: G5 Cluster is supposed to be greyed out, when you have Services only checked under Share this computer as.

QuickCluster is not relevant when setting up a managed cluster. Make sure that you do not have any firewalls activated on any of your clients. Have you tried resetting the Qmaster services, as described in my previous post? Ask a question Reset. To disable journaling for a standalone deployment, start mongod with the --nojournal command line option. You can get commit acknowledgement with the Write Concern and the j option. For details, see Write Concern. On a restart after a crash, MongoDB replays all journal files in the journal directory before the server becomes available. If MongoDB must replay journal files, mongod notes these events in the log output.
